Popular craft fair, Sector fair
For a whole day, up to seven fairs organized by the Casino Menestral Figuerenc are grouped in the center of Figueres. You can find everything from events related to artisan trades and painting, to food samples and ecological products.
The Casino Menestral Figuerenc organizes a fair day in Figueres, the capital of the Alt Empordà, coinciding with May 1, which brings together various exhibitions in different areas of the city center. In total, there are ten events related to gastronomy, antiques and crafts.
The Drawing and Painting Fair is installed, like the Photographic Fair, in Plaça Catalunya and you can find all kinds of paintings and other designs, as well as live demonstrations of the artists' skills. The Crafts is located in various streets of the nerve center of the city, and in addition to stalls with handmade objects, workshops for boys and girls are held. The Market and Food are exhibitions dedicated to food products, especially from the L'Empordà area, as well as the Eco Fira Empordà, which includes goods produced in an ecological and environmentally friendly way, and even the Food Intolerance fair .
Also noteworthy are the Brocanter (almonedista), where you can find furniture and other collector's items, and the Glass, related to this artisan trade, where demonstrations are held and pieces made with this material can be purchased.
